TMNT HeroClix: Heroes in a Half Shell – Slash

Greetings HeroClix Fans,

Welcome to another exciting preview from the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix: Heroes in a Half Shell set! Today, we’re looking at someone who is equal parts ally and enemy to the Turtles – Slash!

Slash began life as Raphael’s pet box turtle, Spike. Raphael, of course, is a bit of a hothead – and used to rant and rave about his brothers in his room, where Spike listened and developed an intense hatred of the other Turtles. Eventually, after mutating, Spike renamed himself Slash, and he and Raphael partnered to fight the Kraang before Slash viciously attacked the other Turtles. This led to a split between Raphael and Slash, before eventually Slash found his way back to the side of the heroes, where they’ve since reconciled.

Slash is a heavy hitter, and as such isn’t slowed down by hindering terrain, possessing Improved Movement – Ignores Hindering Terrain. He also has a special power on his first three clicks of life on movement called Throwing My Weight Around, which allows him to use both Charge and Improved Movement – Ignores Blocking Terrain and Destroys Blocking Terrain as the Character Moves Through It! He’s an Indomitable freight train of a character, to put it mildly!

Slash also possesses a myriad of standard powers, including Flurry, Quake, Invulnerability, Toughness, Close Combat Expert, and Battle Fury. He’s also in possession of an additional special power, called Just You and Me Against the World, Raph, which allows him to use both Close Combat Expert and Empower. Additionally, this also grants him a Unique Modifier, which states that adjacent friendly characters named Raphael modify their attack and defense values by +1!

At 100 points and 7 clicks of life, Slash is a heavy hitter that can be used effectively on any team. However, if you want to run him on a themed team, he fits in on Mutanimals, TMNT Ally, TMNT Villain, and Animal themed teams. He’s a tank, and will definitely be a heavy focus for your opponent if you’ve got him on your squad!

That’s all for today, HeroClix fans! Come back next time as we dive even deeper into the waters of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix: Heroes in a Half Shell set! Until then, may your blades rolls be sixes!
