Marvel HeroClix: Avengers Assemble- Immortus

Greetings HeroClix fans, and welcome to another preview from the upcoming Marvel HeroClix: Avengers Assemble set! Today, we dive headfirst into the time stream to explore the villainy of Nathaniel Richards, the future despot, Immortus!

Marvel HeroClix: Avengers Assemble- Immortus

A being of immense power and knowledge, Immortus has a trait that symbolizes his ability and desire to reset the board when a battle isn’t going his way. Master of the Time Stream is a once per game double power action that allows you to remove all action tokes from other characters of an equal or lower point value. Now, there is risk with this reward, as it’s not just friendly characters that will have their tokens removed, so plan accordingly!

To go along with that trait, Immortus possesses a number of powers across his 8 click dial that really make him a formidable opponent. With powers like Phasing/Teleport, Running Shot, Super Senses, Outwit, and Probability Control amongst others, Immortus is already geared for major board control and damage potential, and that’s even before you explore his lone special power.

Appearing on four clicks of his Damage, the power And I Know the Past states that Immortus can use Outwit, Probability Control, and Shape Change. And, while those powers alone are wonderful to have, Immortus brings a small bonus to the mix – namely, whenever an opposing character uses Probability Control, that character is dealt 1 unavoidable damage after actions resolve!

Immortus can be played on themed teams possessing the Council of Kangs, Future, Past, or Ruler keywords. He’s also in possession of the Masters of Evil and Minions of Doom team abilities, so pairing him up with characters in possession of advantageous copyable team abilities will really leverage his design. And, at 8 range, you can keep him a little farther back from the main combat, choosing instead to maximize his board control and damage capabilities from afar – and then, you can drop the use of his trait, really causing chaos for your opponent.

That’s all for today, ‘Clix fans! Be sure to join us next time for another exciting preview from the world of HeroClix!
