Greetings HeroClix Fans!
Welcome back as we bring you another exciting preview for the upcoming Yu-Gi-Uh HeroClix: Series One set! Today we take a look at a favorite creature of Rebecca Hawkins, Injection Fairy Lily!
Injection Fairy Lily takes the fight right to opposing figures for most of her dial with Charge. Since she should be in a position to be counterattacked in close combat, Combat Reflexes will modify her defense value by +2 from close combat attacks for a couple of clicks. Adding to her combat effectiveness is her trait called Super Serum which allows you to give Injection Fairy Lily a free action to modify her combat values by +2 until your next turn. When you do this, at the beginning of your next turn deal her 2 unavoidable damage.
Another strategy that Injection Fairy Lily lends herself well to involves using Incapacitate to lock opposing figures in place. Then you can use her special power, Forced Injection to give Injection Fairy Lily a power action to deal 1 penetrating damage to an adjacent opposing character. That figure modifies its combat values by +1 until your next turn. Throw in a friendly figure or two with Mind Control to use the increased stats to your advantage. This power will be on all of her odd number clicks.
Injection Fairy Lily switches defense powers on click 3 as she tries to avoid attacks with Super Senses. On her last click, she replaces Charge with Earthbound, depriving her of the use of her Flight combat ability.
Injection Fairy Lily can be played in theme around her “Rebecca Hawkins,” “The Big Five,” and Earth keywords. She costs 61 or 4 points to include on your force. How does she cost 4 points? By paying her Trap/Spell cost.
Injection Fairy Lily’s Trap/Spell ability allows you to pay 4 points to use her as a Trap or Spell, or this ability is activated when she is KOed. In either case, she is added to your Trap/Spell pool. At this point, you can give a friendly Yu-Gi-Oh! character a power action to set this dial as a Trap or Spell on their card. That character may use the effects of the Trap or Spell.
The Spell on Injection Fairy Lily is called Shrink. The set character can use Shrink as a free action to use Perplex, but only to modify an attack value by -2, and at the beginning of the next turn, it is removed from the game.
The Trap is called Call of the Haunted, and states that when a character would be KO’d, instead roll a d6 that can’t be rerolled. On a result of 1-4, the character is KO’d normally. On a result of 5, return it to your starting area on its last non-KO click. On a result of 6, return it to any starting area on its last non-KO click, then heal 1 damage. Remove the trap.
That’s all for now. Be sure to check back as we continue to bring more previews from the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! HeroClix: Series One set!
