Greetings HeroClix Fans!
Today we have a preview from the Yu-Gi-Oh! HeroClix: Series One set coming to a retailer near you this April! Today’s preview character is Harpie Lady, let’s see what kind of lady she is!
Harpie Lady is 99 points of lean and mean close combat lethality. She has the Flight symbol and starts with a 10 movement so she can taxi backup support with here wherever she goes. Offensively, Harpie Lady starts with the movement special power Cyber Slash that says Harpie Lady can use Charge and Flurry. She also starts with the attack special power Accurate Claws that allows Harpie Lady to use Blades/Claws/Fangs and Precision Strike.
With just these 2 powers, Harpie Lady can Charge in, Flurry, and deal up to a potential 12 damage that cannot be evaded or reduced below 1 damage for each attack! In fact, she can use Flurry, Blades/Claws/Fangs, and Super Senses on every click of her 8 click long dial. Speaking of defense, go ahead and push Harpie Lady into her second click where she gets the special defense power Agile Combatant that states Harpie Lady can use Combat Reflexes and Super Senses. I don’t mean to keep harping on this, but it can help keep her on top clicks, and even if she does take a hit or two, her attack never goes below a 9 and she can potentially deal 12 damage for her full dial!
Harpie Lady also possesses the Trap/Spell trait. This trait states when this character is KO’d or when building your force by paying the purple point cost, add this dial face down to your Trap/Spell pool. Give a friendly Yu-Gi-Oh! character a power action to set this dial from your pool by choosing Monster Reborn or Mirror Force and placing it face down on their card. The set character may use the effects of that Trap/Spell. These 2 pool items are explained below.
Monster Reborn give the set character a power action. Heal 2 clicks of damage divided as you choose among the set character and adjacent friendly characters, then remove the spell.
Mirror Force when the set character takes damage from an opponent’s attack and is not KO’d, after actions resolve you may activate this trap. Deal unavoidable damage to the attacking character equal to half the damage taken then remove the trap. So even if Harpie Lady is KO’d, she can still help your team! She possesses the “Mai Valentine” and Wind keywords.
That’s the end of the harp music, but be ready to soldier on for the next preview of Yu-Gi-Oh! HeroClix: Series One next week!
