Greetings HeroClix Fans!
Welcome back as we bring you another look into the soon to be released gravity feed Yu-Gi-Oh! HeroClix: Series One set! Today we look at a favorite monster of Seto Kaiba, Blade Knight!
Blade Knight has a trait that does a solid job of representing his ability from the card game called I Stand Alone. This trait makes Blade Knight modify his combat values by +1 and allows him to use Invulnerability instead of Toughness, if he is the only friendly figure on your force.
Blade Knight takes him time getting to a battle without help, perhaps to give himself time to have his trait kick in, and once engaging an opponent, Blades/Claws/Fangs will give him a chance to increase his damage for half of his dial. The two squares of movement as a free action provided by Side Step will allow him to close in to make the attack, or attempt to move away afterwards from a less mobile opponent. A couple of clicks into his dial, Blade Knight gets a move and attack ability as he will have Charge for the rest of his dial.
At the midpoint in his dial, Blade Knight changes how he deals damage with the more reliable Exploit Weakness to ensure he ignores damage reducers. A full dial of Toughness will offer some protection from counter attacks, and be ready to upgrade to Invulnerability when his trait kicks in.
Blade Knight can be used in theme with other figures using the generic Warrior keyword, or using the Light and “Seto Kaiba” keywords. At 82 points, Blade Knight will be a solid close combat piece on whatever force you choose to include him on.
That’s all we have for now. Be sure to check back next week as we bring you another figure from the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! HeroClix: Series One set!
