Today we spotlight one of the Marvel Universe’s fiercest and most passionate heroes. At different times in his storied career, he has been an Avenger, a Champion, a famous wrestler, a mythic deity, and a mere mortal as well! We can only be talking about Hercules!
Ever-headstrong, Hercules rushes into battle against his foes thanks to early-dial Charge. An initial click of Super Strength allows Hercules to grab and use an object while maneuvering towards his targets, but upon his second click we see his first special power, Are You Worthy of “the Gift”?. This special power modifies Hercules‘ attack value based upon the values of the target of his attack. If the opposing figure has a lower point value, lower printed attack value, and a lower printed defense value, Hercules receives a penalty to his own attack value! However if all three of those conditions are not present, Hercules enjoys a +1 bonus to his attack value instead!
Mid-dial Hercules gains Plastcity and Close Combat Expert as he demonstrates his prowess in melee, while his initial Invulnerability is replaced with Impervious! Later in is dial Hercules regains Charge and picks up a new special power as well! Coward, Come Closer! modifies Hercules‘ defense value against ranged attacks and grants him the use of Willpower as well! Late-dial Hercules switches tactics and uses Flurry while Invulnerability is once again replaced but this time with Toughness.
At only 131 points, Hercules is a strong figure to reinforce your team build with while still allowing room for other solid attack and support pieces. His consistent combat values and great power selection make Hercules an incredible close combat asset for your force!
