Punisher’s War Journal, November 4th…

Greetings HeroClix Fans!

Today we pay one last visit to Marvel Comics’ one man war on crime! When last we saw him, he utilized his Weapon Swap trait to switch from his Assault Rifle to his Sniper Rifle.  Of course, we can only be talking about the Punisher!

 

The Punisher retains the Sharpshooter ability found on his previous two versions, and increases his range to 8.  Either of these combat abilities coupled with his late-dial Ranged Combat Expert means he will do damage to his opponent! Stealth allows the Punisher to keep hidden so he is harder to shoot back at. Mid-dial, the Punisher gains Leap/Climb to maneuver where he can best help his force. Next, he picks up Range Combat Expert allowing him to shoot for maximum effect. This overlaps with a return click of Stealth as the Punisher makes best use of his powers and abilities striking form the shadows.

Late dial, the Punisher regains Leap/Climb as a last effort to get to where he can help his force most and go down swinging, or get to medical assistance. Toughness, Willpower, and Combat Reflexes are again his defense powers of choice, showing his use of body armor, relentless demeanor, and close combat training.

All three versions of the Punisher provide great combat stats and abilities for the price.   At 65 points, each will find their way on to many team builds, but what makes the Punisher shine is his ability to switch tactics in game to adapt your opponent’s force and strategy. The Punisher’s Weapon Swap trait can almost guarantee you’ll have the Punisher you need to get the job done on hand.
