Greetings HeroClix Fans!
Welcome to another preview from the upcoming DC HeroClix: Teen Titans set. Today we travel into the Church of Blood and set our sights on its leader, Brother Blood!
Brother Blood’s top two clicks are the same and start with a special power in his movement slot called Cult Leader. This allows Brother Blood to use Mind Control. He can use it normally or, if there is a friendly character named Brother Blood Acolyte within four squares, Brother Blood is not dealt unavoidable damage; instead, deal Brother Blood Acolyte 1 unavoidable damage. With three targets and a range of six squares, Brother Blood is sure to rain down chaos as he takes control of an opponent’s team.
Brother Blood also has Poison, giving him the ability to deal 1 damage to adjacent opposing characters. For defense he has Mastermind, so when he is dealt damage he can transfer it to adjacent friendly characters with a lower point value.
In his damage slot Brother Blood has a special power called To Scar Such Skin… This allows him to use Exploit Weakness and Support.
Mid-dial, Brother Blood gains the use of Blades/Claws/Fangs as we see him get very offensive. Some Toughness will reduce damage he might suffer and Plasticity will help him either hold his prey close or allow him to try and make a break for it. On clicks 4 and 5 he gains some Outwit to counter one of his opponent’s pesky powers that keep getting in the way of your plans.
On Brother Blood’s last two clicks he gets a double dose of goodness with Regeneration and Probability Control, both of which will surely help him get back into the battle.
Brother Blood is just 115 points and has the keywords Celebrity, Church of Blood, Mystical and Ruler. Brother Blood works best when he is not alone but when joined by his minions.
Where are my Acolytes?
The Brother Blood Acolyte comes in at just 35 points and you could fit 5 of them plus Brother Blood on a 300-point Church of Blood themed team.
First thing we should look at is their Minion power called Shed Our Flesh for Him. The Brother Blood Acolyte keeps this power on all 4 of his clicks and allows him to use both Exploit Weakness and Willpower if he’s within 8 squares of a friendly character named Brother Blood.
The Brother Blood Acolyte starts out with some Toughness on his defense. Mid-dial he gains some Blades/Claws/Fangs that will work well if he is still able to use Exploit Weakness. At the end of his dial Brother Blood Acolyte gains some Plasticity and Combat Reflexes.
