Assassin's Creed HeroClix: Ezio Auditore de Firenze!

Greetings HeroClix Fans!

Today we start of our previews of our 12-figure HeroClix: Assassin’s Creed micro-set. Based on the popular video game series this set will feature 12 all new sculpts in a Gravity Feed display, and we start our previews with one of the most prominent protagonists in the series, Ezio Auditore de Firenze!

Ezio Auditore de Firenze possesses a new team ability called Assassins, which will allow him to use Stealth. In addition, if an opposing character misses a close combat attack against this figure with doubles, you may place an action token on this character and deal the attacker 1 damage.

Ezio Auditore de Firenze begins play using Leap/Climb to get where he will be most useful on the map, and with the protection of his team ability, he will have little trouble hiding once he gets there. Ezio can either attack with his 4 range and 2 damage, or get close to a foe to attempt to use Blades/Claws/Fangs. A good stretch of Leadership can provide an extra action for your force as well as pull a token off an adjacent friendly character of fewer points. An added bonus of adjacent friendly characters of less points is the Mastermind granted by his Blend special power. When Ezio uses Mastermind to transfer damage, 1 of the damage dealt may instead be dealt as unavoidable damage to an adjacent opposing character that has not attacked him this turn. Ezio in hindering terrain with adjacent support figures will be tough to deal with.

Mid-dial, Ezio Auditore de Firenze sees his powers slowly change over the next few clicks. First, Blades/Claws/Fangs is replaced by Poison, which can be useful in his close combat position. On his next click, Ezio loses Leap/Climb, and Leadership is replaced by Close Combat Expert, as he pulls out his hidden blade.

End-dial, Ezio Auditore de Firenze continues to have Close Combat Expert for the rest of his dial. Click 6 sees the last click of Poison, and at this point Invulnerability replaces his Blend special power.

Ezio Auditore de Firenze has only one keyword, Assassin, and this will appear on other figures in this set. For 100 points, Ezio brings aggressive combat abilities, a solid close combat power set, and a team ability that will make any figures on your force using a Wildcard team ability very happy.
