Greetings HeroClix Fans!
Today we spotlight the favored son of Gondor, the man responsible for the reclamation of Osgilliath, and an unyielding foe to the Uruk Hai. We can mean none other than Boromir!
Boromir begins play demonstrating his prowess in battle thanks to early-dial Flurry, while his Numenorean Blood special power allows Boromir to pick up and use light objects with a modified version of Super Strength! Once he’s past his initial click, Boromir also gains the Dark Premonitions special power which grants Boromir the use of Probability Control but at the potential cost of a click of life!
Mid-dial, Boromir gains Blades/Claws/Fangs while his early-dial Toughness is replaced with Willpower. Late-dial Boromir picks up Plasticity which increases his value as a tie up piece as well as enables him to break away more readily and help out where he’ll do the most good (perhaps protecting his Hobbit companions?).
At only 55 points, Boromir’s very consistent combat values and useful power selection make him a great addition to a variety of strategies and theme teams. As great a value as he is already, Boromir’s Horn of Gondor epic ability allows you to reposition your forces where they’ll do the most good for your game! Talk about battlefield control!
That’s all we have for today, but be sure to join us later in the week as we pay a visit to the Ithillien wilds! Until then, keep your Clix secret! Keep them safe!
