Greetings HeroClix Fans!
Today we start a journey to an alternate Earth; Earth 2 will be our destination to visit alternate versions of the heroes you are already know so well. We’ll be previewing two characters from the upcoming Earth 2 Fast Forces Pack, Batman II and Superman II.
Batman II is Thomas Wayne on Earth II. Joe Chill was hired by Frankie Falcone to kill the Wayne’s on this Earth as well, but Thomas Wayne survived and went underground unbeknownst to Bruce Wayne. He stole the drug Miraclo which grants “strength and vigor” and took up his son’s mantle of Batman when Bruce was killed during Darkseid’s invasion.
At 70 points, Batman II is an inexpensive thorn in your opponent’s side! He has potential permanent Stealth with the Batman team ability, Indomitable, and a range of five with 2 targets to wield dual Batarang’s with his top clicks of Precision Strike! Leap/Climb will have Batman positioning himself in the shadows for sneak attacks, and Exploit Weakness for those that venture too close! Landing a punch on Batman won’t be easy either with his heightened Super Senses.
Mid dial Batman II has started flagging and possesses Earthbound/Neutralized. His special power, Protect Batman When His Miraclo Wears Off!, attests to this. His teammates can rally around him and use Defend to protect him, or even lower his defense for another character to use Support to heal him back up! You can also give him a power action for him to deal 1 unavoidable damage to himself because Batman wouldn’t be Batman without the fortitude to reach down deep and find the will to keep fighting.
On his last 2 clicks, Batman has run out of Batarangs (represented by his Battle Fury) and focuses on close combat—his damage value increases making for good use of the two attacks granted by his Flurry and his Toughness keeps him alive just long enough to finish the fight!
Next up is Superman II!
Val-Zod is one of the last Kryptonian’s of this universe and the second to carry the mantle of Superman. Superman II has the trait Stronger as I Age which makes him a Superman that improves as he takes damage— when he is on clicks 3 or higher, he gains the Wing symbol— allowing him to fly— and on clicks 7 or higher he gains Indomitable— allowing him to ignore pushing damage. His top 2 clicks start with Leap/Climb, Quake, and Close Combat Expert and then on his 3rd click and higher, his trait grants him the Flight symbol to swoop around the battlefield unfettered!
Mid dial his Charge coupled with Super Strength will hurt your opponent fast and hard! Invulnerability will reduce the damage he takes, but will help get him to the sweet spot of his dial. His last 4 clicks have the same powers, Hypersonic Speed, Super Strength, and Impervious. He can finally zoom around the field, meeting out justice to the wicked! Click seven he will gain the Indomitable symbol due to his trait so no need to fear pushing damage!
Both Batman II and Superman II can use the Wonders of the World alternate team ability listed on their cards for five points each. You can use it strategically with Superman II to heal teammates and have him take damage at the same time to help him get to the most powerful part on his dial.
